Balmung has a lot of roleplayers, you'll see them in the adventures guilds in mass rping. And Fc's that rp are always recruiting. But I'm not sure if this answers your question. I hope this helps.

Balmung (Legacy) and Gilgamesh (ARR) servers I've heard have the largest RP communities and are hence regarded as the 'unofficial RP servers'. Really though, I RP whenever I feel like it on my own server with no problems (although luckily I've been joined by friends who like to RP casually as well so it works out).

I put an alt on Balmung about a month ago to see what was what... that was where I learned about the /em emote (after having been playing since October!), and watched people use it creatively and well. My home server, Mateus... people barely talk to each other at all, at least in public comms.

I like to read it myself. It's pretty enjoyable to read while you're doing something else.
I kinda RP but I don't really like the games story/lore to actually dive in myself nor am I a strong roleplayer ^^;.

It doesn't cover the whole RP community obviously, but a lot of us use that site as a kind of hub around which to organise things. If nothing else they've got a fairly comprehensive roleplaying Linkshell/Free Company list.
