"A learned warrior who uses Arithmeticks to analyze natural phenomena and pinpoint magickal attacks."
I chose midlander hyur because I love the old anglo-saxon/celtic style names.
I picked a Seeker of the Suns because I usually role a human in most games. And I like the whole Seeker of the Sun bit. Very interesting and cool. Wish they had more info on them. And I might start writing a fanfiction about Eden.

I, unfortunately, didn't have much of a reason for choosing Miqo'te besides the fact the player that brought me to this game played a female Miqo'te, and I decided to do the same. I was never really fond of the other races except the Miqo'te, and my character customization was rather rushed (but to this day I still like the look of my character). I did pick Seeker of the Sun, despite being a night owl myself, purely because it made more sense in the lore ("Warriors of Light" do not try to "seek the Moon", now do they?) than anything else.
The name "Aika Nakamura" comes from a character in the Persona 4 series (despite looking nothing like her, like she has blue hair and my Aika has red hair). Aika wasn't a main character, but I just found her amusing because she would just appear in the most random of places in the animation.
I have two characters I play.
Azlyn X'vya is currently a Keeper. She may be changing to a Seeker though since I really would like her eyes to be proper cat. Prefer the keeper lore though. She partially fills both Keeper and Seeker conventions because I choose a backstory that had her being a halfbreed. to show her duality a bit more, I choose one gold "sun" eye and one grey "moon" eye as well as choosing Nald'Thal as the only duality deity. Did choose Miqo'te at first due to my Mithra Blue Mage, she changed looks and name a bit; the highlights just dont look quite right for some hairstyles.
Ahmira Soulrage is a Highlander. I chose her by accident but had noticed the lore/conventions before that. I like their lore best of the hyur and I couldnt see playing the gentler midlander female. Probably would have chosen a Roe, but their stature is so large that I couldnt do it.
I love the Lala lore, sadly I cant play short races. End up either getting lost on the screen or zoomed in so far I miss things.
While I usualy enjoy elves in any RPG, FF doesnt seem to be one of them for MMOs, the lore is really interesting though.

Just putting this out there; Lalafell are the "childlike" race. The actual Elf Race are the ElezenI have two characters I play.

Keeper of the Moon, just because they're mysterious.
The Night People. Our patron is The Lover. We are uncommon. Dark skinned members of our clan are even more uncommon.
I love the hell out of tarus/lalas (and the people who play em too since they don't think too much of themselves to be the tinniest l'il guys around) but since FFXI, I've come to value PvP above all else. Loved being a galka (mnk) back in 11 because of the punishment it could take in matches and wanted that same feeling/visual aspect here. Kinda wanted to change it up a bit though for something I wouldn't mind staring at 18 hours a day. Was still playing 11 for most of 1.0 and by the time ARR's details were starting to trickle out, I was leaning toward a Duskwight Elv. Maybe it was just the hairstyles back then or the graceful/womanly form (not a bad thing, I'm just wierd) but for me taste, came off as juust a tad too elegant. I wanted something that looked like it could take a solid hit, get knocked down, shake it off, then lunge back. Stumbled accross female Roes on youtube by accident..and the rest is history. >![]()
