What kind of Secrets would you like implemented someday?

Here's an idea.

Like XI or the batman game there's stone monuments all over eoreza, but instead of someone writing about the past they write a riddle on it. Let's say there's about 20 monuments for now and each riddle has its own individual answer like "waterfall", after you solve every riddle it will give a sentence or a paragraph to another riddle, but this time it gives coordinates to an area with a password.

Once reaching the area and entering the password, you will enter a secret zone with a boss. If you win, you get some pretty rare gear or other stuff.

To prevent cheating or people basically looking on forums for answers, Id make a different riddle after the previous one was solved and only allow the riddles to be solved 3 times every six months.

Id make these riddles nearly impossible to figure out though >_>;

Eorzea need more secrets and hidden stuff (things and places). I would like secrets in Lore departement, like to find ancient writings and books around the world (also in hidden places) that depict legends and stories of the past. Some could help also for the present, with hints and riddles. A world rich of misteries and questions.

And, seeing in the future, the possibility to put all these stuff we found around, in our house (like a personal library to fill with ancient books -with own description and some text about the argument, like that in the conjurer guild in gridania-).

Lol as soon as I read the thread title that's what came to mind... I used to make so much money off those arcane flowerpots. Besides that, it would be cool to see more things like Carbuncle mitts, etc. Invisible NMs like the YinYang robe one would be cool, too! ^_^

I was pretty excited when I learned I could take the boat ride from Palborough Mines back into Bastok rather than walking.

When I'm in Nanawa sometimes I wish I could ride a mining cart back into Ul'dah.

The thing about xi is, if you discovered something it was being used/ or was going to be used for something. That room in the crawler's nest was part of a quest line later on, I dont remember it off hand. I should FFXIencyclopedia it up (can we get a one consolidated source of information like eorzeapedia, if you own a major site that has a wiki please make sure your synthesis recipes are up to date, nothing burns my cheese like a wrong recipe but I understand its a lot of work running a site and wiki just a heads up^^)

Anyway in XIV if you find something cool, its not 100% guaranteed its used, some are, i remember being like rank 30 finding the bat in the cave in gridania, and that doesn't get used till r42, so there are somethings. But even weather lets say, we can see it, its annoying, it makes annoying sounds when we try to put our itunes over it. But they won't do sh*t about it because....oh weather will mean something. It will be a half-ass weather missions or something because right now this game is half ass. They spent time on the quality, there is lots of quality, but this is one of those times we wanted quantity, LOL. the irony. I wouldn't mind delaying the MAP fix, if they can not half ass it this time, and make a world filled with mystery even in starting zones.

There seems to be an entrance to the Mines near the Miner's Guild. Hopefully that will be what you are looking for. ^^

Guess I'll make some stuff up off the top of my head O.o
NMs that disguise themselves as pieces or terrain or trees and hide their names until you hit them with an AoE attack.
A hidden place where you can see the lifestream and use it to watch cutscenes / stories from the past.
Hidden pitfalls to new and dangerous places like in Eldieme Necropolis, but more creative, such as leading to a multi-level labyrinth with no map and some NMs in it.
Stone beastcoin doors that look like walls.
A secluded island you can get to by hitting a ??? at the right time on the boat (jumping overboard).
