Vote Kick abuse really needs to end.

Not white-knighting -- players watching the cutscenes can be an annoyance when I want a fast run, but at the same time, if they are truly new to the instance then it is highly likely that whatever they could contribute to the fight would be negligible and may actually make the run longer (unforeseen deaths, needing more healing, etc.). New players can in no realistic way hold up a group of 7, or even 6, 'veterans' in even a few mythology pieces and relics.

Like I posted long ago, you're fairly new to the game. Why not take my suggestion and be the initiator of such a vote kick -- surely since it is all allowed and a true and righteous use of the vote kick system you'll be back here to tell us how well that went for you...right?

that is pretty disgusting. I guess I was lucky the first time I did prae, there was no vote kick. Scholar in the group kept cussing me out and being extremely rude because I was watching the cut scenes my first time, saying things like:

"All of us are here for a speed run! You are a healer! You must skip the cut scenes!"

my reply though was:

"You are wrong, not all of us are here for a speed run. I'm not. This is my first time through this story, and I am going to enjoy it whether you like it or not. Also, you are right, I am a healer. And if I decide I've had enough of you and decided to leave, what would that do to your precious speed run hmm? Now shut the hell up and let me enjoy this game I am paying for"

But with vote kick, I probably would of been vote kicked out for watching the cut scenes now. It's deplorable that people behave this way to new players. OP, as tank, I would of told them they were disgusting, wrote down each of their names, then left right then and there after opening a ticket on them.

It is white knighting, because these players are realistically holding up a group and they do it all the time, whether you want to acknowledge it or not has no bearing on reality.

It happens all the time. I've seen people do it and they are still around to tell the tail. I guess we can take this as proof the SE supports this.

As for the CS vote abuse itself, I've got a solution. Either 1) Make the newbies immune to vote kick, or 2) In CM and Prae, make the CS's unskippable by everyone, regardless of completion.

Option 2 might be the best path though. Then, people can't kick someone for watching CS, when they too must watch it. Just flag them CS's to be unskippable like the intro scene when you start a new character.

Thank you for announcing this to everyone, even though we all know you're going to read this. Life will be difficult if you choose to ignore any difference of opinion you encounter, but I'm sure you'll learn this once you step into the real world.

Abusing the report function is frowned upon and you can get in trouble for it.

Sorry, read the reasons SE endorses for vote kicking. You will find you have no grounds to kick them for watching the cut scenes. That is just the pure and simple truth of it. I can see now no one will be able to convince you of your wrong behavior no matter what is said you will simply ignore it for your own sake.
