the 64 bit is complete and requires a seperate download at some point in the future, was in a article some time ago, this game has a lot of future proofing to some extent in the pipeworks, the only thing it doesnt have is plans for DX12 that MS has announced XD
i hope we will see the DirectX 11 Version on the E3![]()
I just hope this whole DX11, uncompressed textures, 64bit (in the "near future") stuff is not a big bummer.
Will believe it when I see it. SE is really slow about fixing things.
Found out just tonight that the 'if trapped in claw after last boss in CT you will get glitched and cant move and (maybe, if you take more damage than is regened) slowly die' bug that has been in the game since day 1 of 2.2 is still happening.
I hope this new tech and HD texture (AKA uncompressed texture) will not altered how my character looks
I loved how she is atm, I hope they not affected my character model too much, I am glad they will make texture look better on armor, weapon and other stuffs
Probably be expansion when that happens.
Being 64 bit is not the issue with the PS4, underneath although the new consoles are virtually below budget PCs they operate differently at a operating systems level so any code made for a PC would be not be easily modified for a PS4 and vice versa.
Edit: the game engine runs terrific, I can stand in Revenant's Toll with 50-100+ people and my frames don't take a noticeable dip. With everything max but shadows and AA it doesn't even use 1GB of RAM. I wish other games were like that. 64 bit would introduce very little at this moment in time.

If I recall correctly he mentioned something that the client for ps4 is essentially the pc client ported and edited. Which would mean you could do the same thing, but backwards for a 64-bit pc client >_>; (To save time)
If whatever you're shooting doesn't die after you pump 8, 32 caliber, slugs into it, it's probably a dragon.
personally I would rather they complete a 64 bit client than a dx11 client. some of you might not realize this but a 64 bit client would handle memory better than the 32 bit client does and likely run smoother.
a dx11 client will do very little except add some textures and eye candy many people wont be able to see.
what will likely happen is most people who download the new client wont even be able to properly run it without disabling more than half of the dx11 goodies at which point it might as well be a dx9c or e(dx9e intigrates with windows Aero allowing for the game to run smoother when its windowed or virtual full screen) client.....oh wait
