Enmity of my Enemy

Can anyone tell if there's something i'm missing for this book fate,
from what i've read on ffdb and others it follows on from enemy of my enemy, which is triggered by talking to an npc, but i've been in the area for over 9 hours over the last 2 days and not seen the npc marker, am i just being unlucky, or perhaps the npc isn't near the fate zone or something?

the fate you are searching is a follow up from the enimy of my enemy wich is started by talking to a NPC and that NPC is a little up north from the place enmity of my enemy starts

The NPC will be hiding near a tree very close to the FATE "A wrench in the works". Starting that will start the FATE "The enemy of my enemy". As long as that one succeeds then the next FATE will start, and that's the one you're looking for.
