It's not completely useless, but in general if you have a situation where a lot of folks are dead, it's because A) they were handling mechanics poorly and thus a rez won't help, or B) the tank died, and the rampaging boss is probably going to wreck everyone before/as soon as the rezzes finish.

I've saved pulls with it, but it's very, VERY rare.
