Healer LB3

I've read and seen that healer LB3 restores 100% hp/mp and will rez everyone. Does it not effect the person using it? Does it only effect you if you're dead? I was doing turn 2 with no bard and thought whm lb3 would be good to fill up mp for healers. We tried it but it looked like it only filled up the one healer that was dead. Does it not fill everyone's mp?

I believe it fills up everyone's but the person using it.

It doesn't affect the person using it, which combined with that extreme animation lock wind-down makes it incredibly dangerous to use. It's utility is also pretty limited because if you're at the point where multiple people are down usually its an execution error that will just happen again when they're back up.

Ok thanks. Yeah figured it could come in handy to fill mp when no bard and dps was kinda low on turn 2 (no melee for lb either). Guess that probably won't help if it only fills one healer though.

It's such a lame lb lol, it's like a suicidal one at most times.
1) it has range sooo u gotta position yourself in the middle of the raid
2) it refills everyone except you etc.
3) that lockdown animation on you, usually ur the last one to move after everyone has revived.
4) worse thing is when u revive everyone you end up dying yourself more than half the time.
Like wtf lol why is our LB so hard to pull off? xD

Usually, if I use LB3, an AoE will spawn underneath me and I die or the boss gives me a good one in the face.

I would like a friendlier LB3 please. Give us immunity while casting it and let it affect us too.

I had an amazing save using it as a bard with both healers dead as well as 3 other dps on Thornmarch HM so it's not completely useless. ;D

That's the thing though, it works better as a bard because BOTH healers will have full MP and can just raise you if you end up dying anyway while casting it. If a healer uses it, he/she is essentially screwing him/herself over to save the other healer, so the overall benefit is lessened. So in the end the "healer" LB is gimping if a healer has to use it, and thus, why it should be looked at for tweeks.

I feel like I was in this run with you. Because I had a Thornmarch run where that happened: both healers and all but one Bard got pulled in by the PLD's charm right into a huge Moogle Go Round and just totally wiped out and the Bard saved everyone's butts by pulling a LB3 off. It was a pretty epic save, and we managed to Protect everyone and get back on heals and completed the run.
