Any tips for BRD and their roles in T6-T9?

Hello guys, this is the second week for me in the new Bahamut Coil. Last week I tried T6-T8 with a goofed face, and didn't get used to pretty much.

This week, I have gotten used to with T6 (until last phase), but I still want to know more my part in this turn and furthur.

I am really appreciate with any tips you guys can share for a BRD in these new turns.

To be honest outside of songs; and kiting if your group chooses to use you for that on T7 your role is pretty much the same.

T6 - Foe Req the start. Follow mechanics. Re-Foe when possible unless mage is needed.
T7 - Kite if assigned to over summoner / Follow typical mechanics
T8 - Songs. [Follow any roles you're given. Mines, Tethers, Brain Jack, Binding, Towers, etc]
T9 - Silencing blue golem. Following regular mechanics.

Nothing overly special that we do; play songs when requested and follow what you're assigned to do. o.O

Thank you so much for these tips.

I heard that it's wise to use Blunt Arrow on cyclops to lure them to the position, and then Bind them after that for Healer to do their role, is that right?

I haven't used Foe on T6 because groups that I came with didn't have slot for BLM, only SMN.

becareful with binding the Cyclops. your bind only last 10 sec and if they cant stone that Cyclops within that time. the fatty will be lose and murder you as his heavy also disappear along with bind.
the best time to shadowbind Cyclops is after the boss cast Voice. (max duration of voice last for 9 second. so unless whoever that suppose to stone Cyclops mess up his aim, the Cyclops will be stone before bind ran out.

; ; oh please SMN benefits from Foe Requiem song too ....

For lure Cyclop, you simple just use any instant skill and off GCD to pull it so yeah, Blunt Arrow (if its off GCD) is good idea because at that time, no need for silence and make sure bind it at right time

Otherwise, ask SMN to do it instead

Always be active in breaking your tether in t6. If you get tethered to a healer or a caster, make it a point to run immediately. Your uptime won't be effected, there's will be.

In t7, depending on RNG for the Cyclops spawn, drag yourself to a far corner so you can continue dpsing the boss/adds, and tightly turn the Cyclops around so you're not messing up shriek positioning. It takes practice, and there'll be times where you can't dps, but with practice comes perfection.

T8 - Allagan Missile always comes after brainjack. You won't see it because you'll be on top of the tank, so as soon as the debuff wears, run from the group to eat it. ALWAYS save second wind for either the 3rd or 4th tower set. Missile -> Defensive Reaction can do upwards of 4.6k damage, unless your healer throws up a stone/ad.

I have a question regarding the specific team comp. For turn 8, we plan to have MNK BRD BRD BLM BLM for DPS and solo tank. Which songs should each bard plays? One playing Foe Requiem for the mages and the other sings Battle Voiced Paeon when MNK and MT's TP get low?

TP song, should not be needed from just one Bard, and really not battle voiced if you time them correctly.
Foes with two BLM is much more important, mana song and TP song can be spot played by both ^^

Paeon should only be up for 30secs max, and it doesn't need to BV. You should save that for ballad or foe. If you can spare the dps, putting up BV Ballad while the other has Foe will increase dps exponentially IF you also need ballad for your healers. Otherwise it's loss dps (assuming ilv is similar, and the brds are 300+ in dps)

I see. I only got bard to 50 for achievements and haven't done any raid with it. I knew Foe would be good for the double BLMs we have, just didn't think about Ballad or it in conjunction with Foe to keep the Foe bard's MP up. Thanks for the tips.
