SMN windup is literally only about 10 seconds, and then we pop a fester off GCD and now our potency output is the same as any other class single target

The cool thing about this is that in multi-target situations while SMN is getting warmed up on a new target, dots are still ticking on the old target.
Scathe is weak, Blizzard I is better, the only reason why it is on my bar is when I have to move during more than 3 seconds and I usually forget and it barely affect my DPS because it's weak. If you're holding procs because you predict you'll have to move in 3 seconds, you're losing DPS.

I think his point is using scathe for the instant cast. It's not that weak. Still stronger than Ruin and a better option than not doing a damn thing. and its random chance for bonus potency is pretty awesome.Scathe is weak, Blizzard I is better, the only reason why it is on my bar is when I have to move during more than 3 seconds and I usually forget and it barely affect my DPS because it's weak. Another point to note is that Foe Requiem also boosts healer DPS, while double BLM does shit all to me and provides zero utility. I dont mind losing a bit of time to get the huge utility boost from bard. Bard also beats you in the boss fights so thats another thing to consider.
I love being a smn, but i have to hand it to monk for best dps.

BLM is amazing for speedruns, but running coil you don't tend to do huge AOE.
Don't even get me started on eating dirt as a BLM in pvp, I already posted about that in PvP forums.
Tip for PVP: Use anything but BLM in pvp.
Every class is pretty much the same as they usually play in PvE compared to PvP except BLM whos job is to Sleep, Scathe, and eat dirt.
I will say MRD is pretty nuts in PvP.
