As weeks go by, I've been noticing that more and more tanks are doing incredibly large pulls (and often in a very inefficient manner). Is this the new standard? Big pulls don't always equal better pulls, especially if you have melee DPS in your groups, most notably MNK. Even if DRG's can Doom Spike, it eats TP fast as hell even with Invigorate. There are certain group compositions where big pulls ARE better, like BLM and BRD, but with melee, you could do smaller pulls and have a healer DPS as well instead of full time healing. If you're a tank, don't just assume that big pulls are always best, and instead look at your group composition before deciding how big you want to pull. Thank you.
