Sooth black is kind of gray. Why isn't there any proper black dye?

aye, an Onyx, Ebony, sable, Jet or hell how about Odin Black
That would be nice, I'm having trouble matching the color of my pants with the black of the Allagan coat, and with soot black is looks kind of weird.
I also prefer black colors. It is funny how they have dozen sorts of green, blue, red or whatever color but there is only one black color available.
I'd really like tinted black dyes. Soot black is pretty neutrally toned, it'd be useful to have a cool-toned and a warm-toned one to go with it.
I agree as well. I'm wearing the warwolf gear for a bard and the black in the shirt is a darker black than soot black. Would be nice to have that kind of black available.
While we're at it, can we have a white dye that is, y'know, white? I like to dress my healer in white robes, but when I dye her robe "white" and she wears it with the DL or myth gloves\pants or anything else that actually IS white, the robe ends up looking a dingy greyish color because the "white" dye available to us... isn't anything of the sort.
