@King, I think to us yeah.... it certainly is overpriced but I remember when people were paying like 30k or over for their relic on the market board to get one with the materia inside of it.

Sadly that's how it is on new servers, there are more than likely less lvl 50 crafters than we have on the other servers right now. So with that said... people are gonna charge what they feel their work is worth, if it's a new crafter and they looked on the market board then saw a weapon for like 50k with melds inside of it, they might try to sponge gil out of other players. >.<

It's sad but thats normally just stuff that people will have to look out for and be careful of till there are more crafters and the market/pricings stable themselves.

I remember people paying 100k+ for pre-melded relic starters o.o

There's a difference between buying a weapon with materia, and asking somebody to combine the weapon you already have with the materia you already have using the catalyst you already have. Getting the items can be expensive. The simple act of combining them together should not be.

Wow people really ask for 50k just to click a button!? I've never come across such gougers, but I never would have paid that back before I had all crafts at 50. I think the most I ever paid was 20k, but that was for the persons time over melding an item. He spent about 15 minutes with me, so that seemed fair.

When I do melds for people, they often ask me what I charge, and I always reply "Nothing "
My attitude must be appreciated, because they leave me a tip 90% of the time. Usually 2-5k, and once a very grateful Lala tipped me 20k! I tried to give it back, but he insisted, so I relented.
