Last Saturday I dedicated to atma farming according to atma time list. I got 7 atmas in 14 hours. Previously I got two atmas by simply doing dailies. Pretty good drop rate in my opinion.

that time list is fake doesn't work you got those drops by luck and chance even Yoshida stated it doesn't work and its just luck.
Even if that was luck, the drop rate was good. Going to try and get my last 3 atmas next weekend.
You simply got lucky, the drop rate is absurdly low. One of my FC mates got one from first FATE. And one got a few in a matter of hours, hasn't seen one in a month after that. I stopped trying long ago, haven't got a single one.
That's the thing with RNG, though. You can never know whether it's a good drop rate or not (with unreleased numbers)
One player might farm for 2 days and complete it, while another might be farming for weeks.
RNG in this implementation is not fair to any one player, there's too much disparity.
FFXIV isn't too bad when it comes to the RNG side of things, which is why I love it. However, the whole Atma series just seems like such a lazy way of increasing the power of a Relic.
Getting a Relic had a questline, which I thought was great.
Getting a Zenith was rather dull, just farming 900 Tomes.
Getting an Atma is horrible.
Getting an Animus is also quite bad (Though, at least you can get an idea of your progression)
Just seems like very little thought/work went into getting Atma/Animus weapons.
What had potential to be hidden behind great questlines/boss fights, was hidden behind nothing but a horrible great wall of RNG.
Though a lot of people probably share this opinion, I just can't do it. See there are two main complaints about this:
1. The amount of Mythology tomes required. Yeah, 1500 tomes is a lot when you're trying to get them as fast as possible. So what do people do? Brayflox speed runs until their eyes bleed, then complain that it's a repetitive process. This wasn't meant to be done. You can get the required tomes with much less focus and effort over time by doing daily quests and getting roulette bonuses, which was most likely the developers intent. So it's going to be a much less forgiving process to the people that want it NOW, NOW, NOW.
2. The 3 Fates per book. Most complaints about this go: "I've been sitting here for 3 hours and the Fate still hasn't spawned, WTF SE!?" So I'm guessing a person like this looked up where the Fate spawns on ffxivdb and went and camped out the location. That's not the way to do it, and this person is being lazy and waiting for something to just fall in their lap. The proper way is to go around clearing other nearby Fates so they cycle more, and that Fate you need is not trying to spawn while the maximum number of Fates for that area are already in progress. Can't tell you how many times I've seen big groups sitting at a Fate location doing nothing while all the active Fates are desolate. These are the people that will complain the most.
The other 2 objectives for the book are easy and quick, so I can't imagine anyone having a problem with those... seeing as that's what everyone seems to want: Easy and quick.
