Will SE make it easier to obtain ATMA in future releases? If so, I would like to hold off farming ATMA

No. You got to do it now. Or suffer the endless rants of unqiue snowflakes complaining how ppl doing Atma got it easy and they are not unqiue anymore.
More likely, yes. But not sure when.
I love how someone always throws out the 'unique snowflake' BS in every Atma topic. Nothing unique about it when at least one other person has it. Also, does it really burn people that bad that they don't have something that other people worked their asses off for? But yeah, let's make it less time consuming for the people that are so special that they think they should have the same thing for less effort. I'd also like to note that I as well as many members of my FC have their Atma/Animus and it's probably because they didn't waste all of their time crying about the drop rate on the forums. Just sayin'.
Yeah for someone like me who does and very little free time on there hands due to my work some content needs to be made easier not to mention FFXIV had a lot of special gear like Coil gear or even gear from the Lighting event or even the XI and Dragon quest cross over. In my FC there are a few players who enjoy it because it reminds them of how XI content was hard, you know what else that content had? Ultima boss fight where the boss had a move so strong players would have to sacrifices a tank and run several rooms away just to avoid a wipe. Yes we need Atma to have a better RNG timer its insane to think I can spend 4 hours in a zone and get nothing doing every fate that pops but when a friend I invite to help make it more bearable and her gets atma after two fates while I sit empty handed in not fun.
Then don't focus so much of your limited play time on something heavily reliant on RNG. You can only spend 4 hours and get nothing because you chose to spend 4 hours trying. With the wide variety of content in this game there is to tackle, you have other options if you want faster (or less reliant on RNG) progression. Sorry, but you can't expect to have everything be obtainable in the time frame you desire. I'm pretty sure this game was not designed to make everything go so quick that people like us with moderately busy real life schedules could have everything they want out of the game and lose all reason to keep playing.
Will they, and should they increase the drop rate? Sure. But not right now. It will probably come along with the Novus update, which seems like a reasonable time for it... but then I'm sure people will find something to complain about with Novus and then you'll see 1000 different threads of 'unique snowflakes' calling people that already have it 'unique snowflakes'.
Personally, I don't mind waiting. I hope that they end up making the Atmas drop rate a lot higher and also make each Atma purchasable with company seals. That way, if you are having bad luck after a ton of fates, you can simply buy that one and move on.
You know there are already people like that when you mention something along the lines of "I hope atma grind gets nerfed soon" Even though it hasn't happened yet lol. All I can think of is "congratualtions, you have waaaay more time than most people to mindlessly press tab, 1, and run around chasing purple icons on your map.
I'd prefer if they increased the drop rate only if the game detects an Animus in your inventory. Meaning it'd be easier, but only for those who have reached the end of the grind.
that isn't a bad idea but still with a RGN it may be still hard. But increasing drops rates the more you have with you would not be a bad way to fix it, I got my first one tough a beast tribe fate.
increased the drop rate would be better.
