How about you folks up in SE give the Lodestone Forums a way to create Poll threads?

Rather than relying on the 'Like' numbers on the bottom of a particular thread, you could create polls, players can create polls, regarding certain things they like, dont like, or would like to see in the future that you can get a clear picture of by those numbers before handing them off to your Dev brethren.

It's bad enough when someone comes along and puts the word "petition" in their title, thinking it will do anything. Giving people a poll won't solve anything. For 1, it's based in one community, i.e. the english, japanese, french, or German. Secondly, only people interested in the topic would really click into the thread. Third, if someone does have a heavy number of votes in their favour, it doesn't make their idea worth putting into the game. Just browse the forums for a day and you can see all the ideas people give which sound good, but have so many fundamental flaws that would throw off the game. When someone comes up with an "idea", it's generally to cater to themselves, not the masses.
