Definitely sounds better than being called a weak player!
Maybe after being added to this site they'll advance to a weekend player! XD

Makes me laugh, Party Finder was added to facilitate players making parties with their own requirements/desires. Whether thats skipping CS's requesting a minimum Ilvl or reserving an item. Whatever they want. Yet you still get people demanding that they should change their requirements to suit them. Instead of either ignoring it and looking for a party that fits their requirements, or making their own PF party.

Their party, their rules. Don't like? Don't join. ^_^

Uh? Do you have a link to support this? Not saying you're wrong, I just find it ridiculous that you can be be banned for rolling on loot when theres no actual loot lock system in place. If they wanted people to be able to lock loot they'd just implement a loot leader system like WoW. If I put the same amount of time/effort into a run I should be able to roll on the same loot.

Bolded for Emphasis. Basically, if you join a party understanding (And I always do make sure to make the rules clear before hand) and try to break those rules, they're not afraid to confiscate items / ban you. And I'm glad they took this stance - purposely deceiving people makes it so no one will trust anyone.

We've received a lot of requests to make it possible to pass after you've already lotted on an item, but due to the current system as well as prospects for the future we do not have any plans to implement this at the moment.

Also, while this isn't limited to only the topic at hand, it's extremely difficult to prevent human error by creating perfect rules within the game system as it becomes something that forces players to go through a cumbersome process. (Such as going through multiple confirmation windows.)

Naturally we will continue to make changes to the system for improvements, but ultimately we feel that there are situations where we would like you to decide on the rules amongst yourselves. Before entering a duty, make sure that all party members are informed of the agreement and who is able to lot on which item. All party members should agree to those terms before entering to ensure an agreement is clearly understood.

Breaking these agreements, or behavior that imposes on other players' enjoyment of the game, will not be tolerated. If after an investigation it's confirmed that a player clearly understood the rules when joining a group and still acted in such a manner, proper action will be taken against the player, which may include confiscation of the item or account suspension, so please avoid doing anything like this.

Sure. In a group where you weren't asked before hand (and by joining agreed) not to roll on it. If you join say a Brayflox group in Party Finder that specifically states "Battlemages Gloves reserved, do not roll on them" and they drop and you roll on them, you're a d***head. If you want them for yourself, make your own group or join another one.

If you roll on a reserved item, you're wasting the time of the person it is reserved for. They specifically want people that don't want or need that item, so if you don't fall into that category, stay out of their party.

Personally, I'm ok with gear locking as long as you say it up front. If you enter the duty then say "Oh btw, X is all mine", then not cool.

I once had a PF where three of us wanted the tank gear in Coil 1. We had agreed to greed-off and let fate decide. Another came in as a tank and told us "Either I get that gear, or I'm out". We showed them the door (plus,. they spent a bunch of time telling us how their FC was selling runs/having a sale....yea, they sucked haha).

It happened to me something similar yesterday xD

Joined a PF "T4 greed party"---> "heya, greeding brd gear if possible". No response. We enter the instance: "btw, greed party means everyone can greed everything"

    .....

    What?

I understand it, but usually I avoid those "Turn 2 NO MORE CASTERS!!!!" partys. I understand that you create and respect it. I woud not think badly of anyone for doing so. But If I want to do T2 as healer I'll probable enter a normal party and will probably avoid that "No more casters party".

Saying that, you did well reporting him Your party, your rules. And his tell you you is just harrasment

It all seems a waste of time. But the dude should have called it a Red List and not a Black List. Black List implies you are not following game rules. If this item locking is part of FFXIV programming then you have not broken any FFXIV rules. You're good. If someone thinks of you as rude for it, oh well. You have the right to party rules within the game dynamics. People have a right to make lists of parties to avoid if they don't want to deal with item lock outs.
