I like that. I actually set up greed parties but I don't lock-out items on a single person. Instead, I tell them that if that item is requested TWICE, it gets locked. So you have competition and there'll be more people interested on joining my group. The advantage of a greed party, is that you can join with your best job if the slot is available or any job. I always make a list with a macro. When the fight is over, I pop said list to check if someone was interested on that item. I ask the others to leave so only the people who requested that item can roll on them. I just don't like ninja looters. Rules are clear ALWAYS. You don't like them? Don't join.
