how is this different from Myth farm speed run where they lock the PF so that only BLM and BLM/BRD can join (for DPS spot). LOL.
OP I would just ignore it.

I don't join lock parties because well... I'm not out to help rando's get there gear. but that's my prerogative.
some troll making a blacklist website? ha. pathetic and ineffective.

This is just petty, nothing else to it. All in all, I don't think you're missing out much. By the sounds of it, whoever decided to start this "list" was likely butthurt because they joined a run for something, only to join a 'reserved' gear Coil run and after several runs that piece only dropped once, so they weren't able to attain their gear as desired, but likely could've needed it.
Here's my thoughts on that. Just dont join those types of groups, I have and refuse to in the future. I've been tempted to write it into my own PF comments, but instead make a point to specifically say nothing is reserved, as a response to so many who do. It's petty and idiotic.
Now, my feelings on the matter are fairly strong (less now because I got my full set and really dont care anymore) but the one time I did get burned on it, is both amusing and retarded at the same time.
Joined a t4 run, party leader, who was going bard, reserved caster legs. I decided to join regardless as I was going for the legs yes, but also the belt anyways, so I still had a reason to join. I also figured, if the pants drop early, I can roll on the next pair that drops later.
So this party leader was adamant about ensuring that -everyone- in the party knew he was going to lot on those first pants, he reaffirmed that point many, many times through the duration we ran together. Honestly, at some points, I thought he was on the verge of a panic attack, especially when the pants actually dropped.
But he got his pants, no more pants dropped (nor the belt for that matter), so it wasn't my luck at the time. Regardless, I still joined and ran it, I had no hard feelings....
Until someone else pointed out that this particular bard..had a level 35 blm. That's right folks. 35, his class, to which he reserved his piece of gear, couldn't even equip the piece for another 15 levels.
I haven't blacklisted this player, I wont, I reserve that for RMT tells. I don't see a point to blacklisting a player and by making a scene about it, potentially entire LS/FCs in turn. But I do agree that gear locking is petty, but so is the blacklisting website feud that has been created by it.
Me i have a personal list, with some guys greed on everything, even if they don't and never will play the class at all.
Then i remember them, and don't let them come in my farm party, because my farm party is good, if you need something tell us, if you greed something you don't have the class at all, you are a bad guys, because someone need it so much more than you.
So i take my pen and a paper and i write the name.

I doubt that list has any influence at all, that chat log is the most petty, pathetic thing I have read in a while. Once had a guild leader who claimed to be able to blist people like that, to put it bluntly he was delusional.

Wow the egocentric entitlement these days.
Honestly OP you should have just told him/her to cry more and left it at that. If you don't agree to the description set forth in the party finder listing don't join it and just move on. Simple as that (who ever you are Mr. Red).
lol I am so scared.

Yeah, report him for harassing/threatening you then blacklist and move on. I don't see it as a big deal. You don't want to party with people like him anyway, do you?
It's your party. Your rules. If people don't like them they can choose not to join your party. No harm, no foul as long as people aren't throwing insults/threats at each other like this guy did to you. You aren't a problem, people like him are.
Yeah just like the others just report them and move on and if you can find this list and give the names to a GM, if there is a group of people out there just to do this it is well with in the rights to get banned for it.

Gear locking is common for Need/Greed party, don't see a problem other than people who double dipping in a need party.
I joined a coil group with the leader (a healer) locking healer belt AND tank hands in a Need party. The healer body drops, still rolls need on it without even thinking twice or ask if the other healer needed it. That's some shady double dipping, not only you are locking gears that is not your current job, you are still rolling need on everything you can use.

They don't like people who gear lock, so they have a list of people they don't want to play with. That's fine even if you disagree.
However, they should add you to the list but not tell you about it, because that can be harassment.
When you gear lock, you're telling random people that you have special rights even though you're all working together. Some people don't like it. Others are fine with it.
It's the same thing as selling runs. Some people think it's wrong and others don't. Some people might blacklist you, even if you think it's fine.
There will still be other people to play with.
