    Question about repair cost after the patch 2.28

    Is it now cheaper to buy the dark matter grade 5 and fixing the gear yourself rather than using the npc repair, dark matter cost 80gil ea anyone has looked into this?

    It has always been cheaper to repair your own gear once it was below roughly 50%. Now it's always cheaper.

    As said above it was always cheaper (30 - 50% of the NPC prices) and still is.

    Through latest adjustments, Self-Repair is now THE superior way, cause you can also overcome the 100% cap, so the full 80 Gil go for a full repair, which costs at a NPC about what? 200 Gil+ on i90 and better gear?
