    Robots everytime i farm shards

    Every time i go to farm shards cause it takes 15 shards per craft basically so i need mass amounts of them to craft for food and potions, i see robots.

    Is this intended? Robots are much more efficient and can gather while the real human is away.

    In 1.0 ALC could make crystals and in XI you could break down the larger crystals.
    Both of which are not an option so it leaves me quite confused. Like its literally the perfect breeding ground for robots/gil sellers. Literally cause there is always bots out there.

    It would be great if ALC could at least break down the clusters. Thanks

    Either that or just have the number of shards, crystal, and clusters drop in increasing amounts the higher your gathering level. so for example at level 1 you on;y get 1 per pull but at level say 50 you get 5-7 per pull.

    There are nodes that do this. Specifically the ones I can remember are in Wellwick Wood in Eastern Thanalan.

    While this is true, my suggestion would not just give you 1 extra shard per pull on one node out of a group of 4 at only a few spots around the world, but would apply to all nodes that have shards, crystals, and clusters.
    My example would be at level 50 from any node that has shards you would get 5-7 per pull, crystals would be 2-4 and clusters would be still 1 per pull unless you used the an ability.

    Lvl 5 node yields 1 shard as a lvl 50 node, yet, crafting goes from 1 shard to as much as 10 shards and/or crystals. The current design encourages bots, since a lvl 1 is as efficient as a lvl 50.

    Back in 1.x, at least ALC/Fisher had some purpose, now Fisher is mostly pointless.

    Yes, bring back the Fisher/ACL 1.x shard crafting, or allow higher level nodes produce more shards. IE: Node:shard = <10:1, <20:2, <30:3, <40:4, <50:5

    I agree, Clusters should be able to be obtained by more than one method (which is now simply heavily botted "Unspoiled Nodes".) Like the OP said, with only one method of obtaining these, you create a breeding ground for botting. They should also be available through Crafting, or by killing Elemental Sprites.

    What is amazing is how heavily shards are being botted and how much the playerbase claims that "crafting is worthless" - yet... shards are in such high demand.

    Before this patch, most shards (on my server) were in the 15-25 gil range. Now? 60-90 nearly all the time.

    Farming shards is really frustrating, it is not proportionated to their usage.

    It takes 20min to farm 150-100 shards, it's absurd!
