Why did square cheapen the game with N64 style macro icons

I'm not sure, for crafts I use various arrows, crystals and Leaf Turn for my crafting macros





Most of those are my crafting macros (all the blank icon ones are certain battle macros, the Hawk's Eye and the Fast Blade are hide head and weapon respectivly, and the second image is my 3 star crafting macros), I'm just sad I can't use Leaf Turn II's icon

Ok, for starters: Monk with macros for GCD skills are horrible, please don't use them
And the icon won't show up until it's placed on your hotbar, just like you can see on my images in my previous post, 5 of those are set as such (those with actual skill icons were set before this change happened)

Which is a huge issue as well. It would be so much easier to differentiate what macros are which in the list if they actually did show the appropriate skill icon.

ok now there is another question I asked how do I add an image to my post like u did with the macro icons? It would be so easy to show what I have and what there is no longer available to show the difference to better explain things to the community. Thank You

The icon that looks like the picture frame, put the URL of the picture in there and it'll automatically add the text for the picture

there is no url it is saved as a JPG on my desktop. However thanks for the help clarifying what is going on with the macros Cheers happy gaming.

You have to upload it to imgur or photobucket or something similar first. That will give you the url.
