    [Suggestion]Low Battery Indicator

hello. thought it would be neat to see the game pick up when a player is using something battery operated. and then display an indicator near their name when the battery is low.

as for PC hardware... i suppose support for this functionality may depend on the device and/or drivers used.

but for gamepad users on the PS3/PS4 this should be doable.

Controller says when it's going to die, my keyboard blinks red when it's close. This is more of a post needed on Sony forms not final fantasy. They can't do much here

yes i know what you mean. but i don't mean for our own reference. i mean so other people in the game can see if someone has a low or dead battery. and i already know about the LED indicators.

Low Battery notifications are already implemented in to the Operating System. all i suggested was to see if there was a way to get the game client to pick up on the notification. and then display a status icon near a players name accordingly. it would be up to Square Enix to implement a feature that detects/grabs this notification. that is if the notification can be grabbed at all.

i just think it would be useful. it isn't uncommon for even PC players to use gamepads in a MMORPG. and it is very common to be paired up with a PS3/PS4 player.

It would be nice feature if doable considering the poor-piss battery life on PS4 controller - mine died yesterday halfway through the dungeon LuckillyI have phone charger cable next to sofa so I've just plugged that in and was back on in a few seconds but still pretty annoying.

I've seen some single-player PS3 games that automatically pause the game if your controller gets turned off for any reason (such as its battery dying). So while I don't know whether or not a game would be able to see when your battery is getting low, it should be able to see if the battery dies completely, leaving you without a controller.

SE would have to combine that information with which type of control setting you're using. (No controller being connected wouldn't be relevant if you're set to keyboard/mouse control and vice-versa.) But I'd think they could do that readily enough, and then a "no controller" status icon could be useful.
