    Unique event items

    I've been playing 2 months and just read about the lightning returns event. Is there any way to obtain the items or gear or no.

    Sadly, no. The Lightning Strikes event was only available for two periods (November 2013 and February 2014) to coincide with the Japanese and US/European launches of Lightning Returns. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure SE will not be bringing them back, meaning if you missed it then the FFXIII equipment is unattainable I'm sorry.

    There's also currently no way to get the bomb or cactuar earrings, or certain peices of 1.0 gear. Alas.
