Longest Time for Receiving Atma

After being stuck in Western Thanalan for my last atma I was thinking of posting this after I received my new Thyrus.

My longest time is Western Thanalan, 10.5 hours (give or take, it was four hours before I went to bed, three hours before work, my bf did 2.5 while I was working and I finished with an hour or so before it dropped from the long legged monsters).

Post your longest grind time in one area for the atma.

My longest? 2 hours. I was extremely lucky.

Just want to say I think 10.5 hours was not considered as being stuck for real bad luckers, even 20hrs was not.
But sorry that I don't want to mention how long for myself as I need to forget it completely ^^;

Exceeding 10 hours is very very rare. This is typically the high end one will have to farm for 1 anima per weapon completed.

I got 10.5 hours on my very last atma. My bf and I always do the grind together and we never leave until we both receive our atmas'. I received three Maidens' in 3 hours and two Crabs' in three hours also.

It was very strange that my last atma took so long for me to get and that's why I wanted to make a thread where everyone can go and laugh about how long it took lol!

Yes the extremely bad luck experience really dispressing some players.
I think if there is a cap for atma, for example max one per day, and the quota can be carried would be less painful for those having bad luck.
Moreover, max receving one book per week also good.
If it is a long term quest, the design should not let players able to complete in a few days.
As everyone know, complete it asap = easier. For example the FATE to unlock CT, without the nerf late comers really hard to clear the FATE to unlock it.

I was stuck on ATMA of the Water-Bearer for 12 days and on the Central Shroud ATMA for 8 days....I am done with Book 1 now though and saving for book 2...just have to stay with it like everyone else is saying...damn those two ATMA's sucked getting.

How many hours per a day were you doing the FATEs in those areas? Were you doing DF during the FATE grind?

I'm honestly ashamed with myself at how much time I've spent in lower la noscea... I just keep thinking "Well I'll just do one more fate,,, ooo another popped near by!" and the hours have just melted by.
