    This is probably my biggest disappointment with XIV. In XI, everything felt so unique. I know things were copied even there, but you barely noticed it. At least, I barely noticed it.

    In XIV, the copy/paste is so overtly blatant, it is hard to ignore. The landscape all over is just so uninspired and boring. It just makes me think, "you guys had all this time to develop this great, new world and this is what you came out of development with?"

    so why don't I see it then in the many youtube videos?

    All i know is juston.tv made a blind hate rant about it. Someone saw this and fed into a global hystaria. Since I don't see it and think he was a ###### for saying it.

    A good deal of us in the alpha and beta of this game complained about the heavy copy/paste on the beta boards. And long before that dude went on his tirade. Just because someone publicly goes on a nerdrage fest about something doesn't mean that other people can't share the spirit of his opinion, albeit not his reaction.
