With Yoshi P's recent interview's hinting at the fact physical level could well be on the way out, let's look into different ways in which you can customise your stats without breaking the game.

I like the idea of custom armour and weapons, if you get a base weapon with average stats but from then can customise it with thing's like STR+5 or ACC+8 and gradually build the weapon into something that is tailored to the area you want to focus on. The same goes for armour, you could add VIT, INT whatever you wanted and build it up to suit your need's. If you want to be a CON tank then you stack up the VIT on it and so on. Now the trick would be to still balance this within the classes somehow. What I mean is a CON would have high INT already so allowing it to add another 100 through gear would put us right back where we started. My idea would be for stats that are naturally high for that class, CON being the example here with INT, the bonuses it could accumulate would be lower so maybe in total an extra 30 INT could be done though a customised armour, however stats that are much lower for the class could have bigger gains. If the CON for example added VIT then they could add 60 or something to put it more in line with a proper tanking class if thats what they were going for.

This system would allow you to build a class how you wanted and allow customisation but without taking things too far and giving people who specifically play a certain class with those stats rammed as high as they can go a huge advantage.

They could then add quests and challenges for you to collect your STR+5 stat to make it more interesting and a bit of a challenge to get your armour and stats built up how you want it, even allow you to have it a colour you want so you can keep whatever look it is your going for.

Well that's what I would like anyway. How about you, what way would you like to be able to add some customisation to your class?
