Can you guys share tips on how these 3 jobs can have more uptime on turn 7? We are stuck on not reliably killing the Lamia Deathdancers before the next one spawn but any help for after that is appreciated too.

Hey Nate. Here's a t7 video from my PoV. I quote like the positioning our group uses as I am almost always in range of the boss/any adds even while kiting. Check it out. I did a good amount of damage here despite being stoned and dying once. Hope it helps. And I'll see you in game if you want to talk about it more.

Thanks Rin. Definitely will watch it after work and forward it to our BRD. I think he was complaining that his DPS tanked in turn 7 cause of the positioning we were using and sometimes he's out of range. Would help a lot if we can get his DPS in.
for the 3 melee add, here is what my group does, our DPS set up is MNK,SMN,BLM,BRD(Kiter)
1st add, OT pick it up and pull it next to main boss for Bane. this add usually die right b4 2nd add spawn, if not it will be at 7%~~ ish
2nd add, OT pick it up tank it where it is. for this add we have our MT Voke it off OT at 50% ~~ ish. this will give OT enough time to setting up for 3rd add (MT will have to pop atleast 2-3 big CD, my is Rampart, Sentinel, Foresight, Convo).
Then our OT will run over to 3rd wait for it to spawn then move it somewhere near MT. (with my group timing, we have shriek after this add spawn, so OT will have to move it to same area as MT to avoid being stone.)

If you don't want to look at it let's say our dps was kinda awful on the adds since our bard didnt attack a lot the second add.We had 10% o nthe second add when the 3rd popped.
But what you need to understand is,you have to dps the 1st and 2nd add really fast.you can take more time on the 3rd one if your dps is good enough you'll catch up after.
As a monk i would say try time your combo so when first add pop, you instantly dragon kick combo+demolish and touch of death.you stay in the aoe you loose a lot of dps when you have to go out.If the add have 1 stack don't stay in it it just hurt too much but first add at least won't have any stack.
BLM should have thunder on the boss just before the add pop so he may have so proc.
Bard sshould be ready to throw their dot at least but this depend of the positioning of renaud i'd say.You'll find your way with tries![]()
imho, you only need to kill the first add really fast. you can have MT voke 2nd add before 3rd add pop. our group BRD also don't atk the boss, since it mess up fatty(ronuah) timing.
if our BRD atk the boss as well as kiting, we will have weird rotation in the final phase, which is really annoying...
Voice > shriek > Fatty spawn
the ideal spawn for fatty is before shriek cast not after ... T_T

Yeah I figured the important point to getting this turn down for us is to burn the first 2 deathdancers really fast. The one time we did kill the deathdancers, we got pretty close to phase 4, failing cause someone was overexcited and petrified us. I didn't think about eating that circle blade from the first add, might look into that and save Second Wind for some emergency healing. What do you guys think about having 4 Renaulds petrified during the first phase so healers can keep petrifying them allowing BRD to have full uptime on DPS? Maybe have them line up right behind the raid that people can go to when they have Shriek.
Your BRD doesn't attack the boss? That is.. interesting. They could be doing a good 220-250+ on the boss and adds the whole fight while kiting.
My group has been farming t7 for 3 week now. at first our BRD DPS the boss as well as kiting. but as we got more gear it push the boss on the weird timing. (check my previous post)
it more important for me that Renaulds and voice/shriek line up at good timing then having Renaulds pop right after boss cast shirek . T_T
Hmm. No issues with timing here. I mean, there has never been a time where the renaud wasn't frozen for shriek. Just check the video I posted. If DPS is so strong that there is somehow a time where there is no renaud for shriek then I will consider holding DPS. Hasn't happened yet. Prolonging the fight just never sounds like a good idea to me. But different strats work for different groups.![]()
