Lovecraft reference! Awesome!
I'm thinking he may have.
BUT I don't think it's worth anybody getting bent out of shape over.
There's important context - this event was in London. Think of his audience; European FFXIV players have been playing on European servers that are European in the sense that Doctor Evil would /airquotes if he said it outloud. Think of the frustration that Titan must have caused for many of them. All anybody said was exactly what a lot of them were thinking, and they thought it was funny as hell.
That's the stronger defense, but let's also consider the more realistic one, even if it's technically quite weak: Even after they placate the ratings boards, online interaction cannot be rated or regulated. This game will subject you to worse than that literally every day in Duty Finder.
I'd lose a little respect for SE if they even bothered to bring it up again.
Especially after I just spent this entire patch playing Drakengard 3.

As a french player who used to run Titan in 2.0 (lagfest) around 8-9pm, I totally agree with that. There's important context - this event was in London. Actually, I was thinking he said "F you [other name starting with T]". That's why I was like, whoa. :x
"F you Titan" isn't a surprise and just an in-joke for Fanfest, and it isn't something I'd be surprised about.
Always remember, please be careful.
So, I'm pretty sure I've got the Shiva lyrics down pat. These were actually really easy to figure out (I know that I say that fairly often, but it's true this time, haha!) That said, I'm very curious about the first half of her theme... I can't make out what's being said...
Shiva Theme
Staring at death
I take a breath
There's nothing left.
I close my eyes
For one last time
And say "Goodbye."
Lying naked while the snow falls all around me
Drifting closer to the edge but she won't have me!
Wake up in sweat
Full of regret
Trying to forget.
These memories
Lurking beneath
Lost in a dream.
Unchosen path
Unbroken fast
Forsaken wrath.
The pain will cease
I'll find no peace
The sweet release.
Fragile creatures we are taught to fear the reaper
Ever running, we in death will fall beneath her!
These voices telling to let it go! (Let it all go...)
I'm trying and trying and I can't say "No!" (Cannot say no...)
This endless nightmare has just begun! (Nowhere to go...)
My crying will surely drown into
Oblivion!
The endless lives
I've cast aside
Locked them in ice...
Steel is my soul
My blood grown cold
I'm in control.
Fearless creatures we are right to fight the reaper!
Can't compete so instead I'm off to beat her!
These voices are screaming to "Let it go!" (Let it all go...)
This time I'm screaming back "No, no, no!" (Cannot say no...)
My mind's made up and my fear is gone! (Fear is gone...)
I'll clear my eyes, now here I go!
Oblivion!
For the last time,
I will say "Goodbye!"
x3
For the last time!
EDIT: Made some small changes after hearing it in a quieter environment, and with better speakers. Just some words here or there. There are only two or three words I'm a bit iffy on.

Anyone know the lyrics for the chanting parts in Under The Weight? I figured out some of them like the,
"Bow down overdweller x3
Titan"
But the because of some of the effects used on one of the chanter's voice (Yes I know it's Soken-san's voice, but I'm calling it a chanter! lol) It's hard to make out everything they said. Unfortunately everywhere I look for lyrics only has the "Under the weight~" part of the chant.

There is one part I disagree on: the line "Can't compete so instead I'm off to beat her!"
To me, it sounds more like "Can't defeat them, so instead I'll have to be her!" It almost makes more sense lorewise, likely as a reference to Iceheart's struggle against the Ishgardian church and the process of summoning Shiva.
Yeah, that's the one line I'm pretty much unsure of. When coming up with the lyrics, I listened to both the live FanFest version and the in-game version. There were a few differences in the live version, but it was also easier to understand the words, so it really helped me to figure out certain parts of the in-game song. What you're saying was one of my choices, but I think in the live one she sang "compete", and I swear I heard a "t" at the end of "be". Those sounded present in the in-game version, but I'll double check. There is one part I disagree on: the line "Can't compete so instead I'm off to beat her!"

Also, Iceheart didn't want anymore deaths in the Ishgard/Dravanian war, so "beating death" could work as well, especially given how Death is referred to as a woman and the previous line talks about fighting her. Which also brings up the question of why death is referred to as a woman--it sounds like Shiva (in which case your interpretation is right), but that sounds too obvious...
