Actually, doing a comparison, Ultima and Thordan's themes sound synthesized and most of the Royal Menagerie is as well. However, there is a live choir during the last section of Royal Menagerie, during the Stormblood theme section . Trying to figure out what they are singing there. Sounds English. I'll get back to you =3

Actually that last part you were referring to is indeed the Stormblood (Dungeon) Theme itself, whose lyrics we already know (found on the first page of this thread). It's the stuff before that that I'm interested in (that bit that starts in Gflat major haha).

I was waiting to post those lyrics until two weeks after the official launch (so this coming Tuesday), primarily to avoid spoiling anyone who wanders in. So don't worry, they'll be up soon enough.

For those who have cleared The Royal Menagerie (was quite painful at the beginning but gradually got the hang of it lol), in the 2nd phase (after the Active Time Manoeuvre bit) of the fight there are some choral parts prior to the Stormblood theme coming back... I can't make out anything at all other than it sounding much like it was in Latin.... anyone?

After the Active Time Manoeuver there are 2 sets of lyrics. The first part, that, like you, I still can't find. The music then bridges into the Stormblood Main Theme that you hear in most boss fights for which the lyrics are already posted. To wit:

Storm of blood
Born from blood
Of our fallen brothers
Borne upon our hands
Cradled in our arms
Swelling in our hearts
Raise your weary head
Heed the call to arms
Ringing in your heart

I don't believe the lyrics before the bridge are English there's a distinct difference when the music coda's back to the start after the Stormblood bridge. They do sound Latin but the music overpowers the enunciation too much.

Updated the main post with the lyrics from the new songs. I've done my best to try and keep them informative but not outright spoilers, but it's a pretty fine line to tread. The worst offenders being the two Ala Mhigan anthems, I gave them the descriptors of "Occupation" and "Liberation" until we get their full titles. Further, we only have part of the Garlean version of the song as they continue it through the cutscenes where it plays, but then cut the subtitles out after the second verse. That could also imply that there's more lyrics that we just aren't given for the actual Ala Mhigan anthem, but then again, knowing the Garleans, they could have just extended this short anthem to really push how great Garlemald is. We'll just need to wait and see for anymore information on that end.

Also, this is just something I'm curious about: does anyone else think that the singing in the Azim Steppe (Daytime) BGM, Drowning in the Horizon, are Xaelan? Or at least the language of one of the tribes. Obviously, we'd need Koji, Oda, Soken, or just someone from the lore team to confirm this, but every time I'm in the zone that thought picks at the back of my mind.

The Royal Menagerie phase 2 song is titled 'The Worm's Tail'

Also the 'Garlean Territorial Anthem' is listed as The Measure of Our Reach on the Orchestrion, further confirming that the Garleans simply stole it from Ala Mhigo (The Measure of His Reach), rewrote the lyrics into Imperial propaganda, and gave it back to Ala Mhigo. So Garlemald are not only evil world-conquering warmongers, they're also copyright thieves as well (Insomuch as concepts like 'intellectual property' even exist in Hydaelyn).

I actually liked that little touch. It's interesting how they've evolved the Garlean Empire to have some of their culture and such be more dependent on the local regions. It's a great way to give the Empire a lot more visual variety while looking and feeling distinctly Garlean. It's also a nice way to make them more like classical Empires such as the Romans, who often adapted local culture rather than destroying it outright. Although we don't know how much cultural pushback there is in the Garlean's case, probably less due to their more propagandistic stylings.
