Song Lyrics in FFXIV: Compilation, Discussion, and Interpretation

eScape's vocal modulation makes it particularly inscrutable for me, but I decided after hearing "ancient eggrolls" too many times I'd try to give it a proper listen through. Since I can't speak Japanese at all I have more or less given up on Sunrise but perhaps there's an English chorus like Amatsu Kaze! I also can't help but wonder if From the Heavens has actual lyrics or just more ... "generic chanting." You can purchase the orchestrion roll from Eschina in Rhalgr's Reach--this is the theme used in the trailer and the second half of the savage Alphascape V4. Given that it's a mix of the Maker's Ruin and Torn from the Heavens-- I wonder!

Very rough. I'm super pumped that Soken sings the song as well. I loved his performance in Through the Maelstorm, and it's been one of my absolute favourite themes since and most definitely my favourite Primal theme! At least.. I hope this is Soken or else I'd feel real dumb.

Sunrise
There's definitely the same/similar male voice present in this song that sung the English lyrics in Byakko. However, the instruments drown them pretty well and I can't make anything out. I can't even tell if they're speaking English!

As far as Sunrise goes, this is what I've come up with regarding the English lyrics. Fortunately, Rainy Moon has once again transcribed and translated what they hear of the song, so check that out, too!

I'm pretty unsure of the second-to-last line, as it's the hardest of the four to make out. I do like how, similar to Wayward Daughter, the English chorus is sung as a tanka(?), similar to what the Wandering Mistral recites to us prior to each EX Primal unlocking.
