Song Lyrics in FFXIV: Compilation, Discussion, and Interpretation

I shouldn't really be surprised by how far off we were we with these lyrics (as per usual, although we did a pretty good job), but in this case what we were off on was pretty important to the overall story behind the song. A story that is probably darker than what most of us thought.

So yeah, confirmed for rap in gobbiespeak. This will be almost impossible to transcript!

Well, I don't think anyone felt that it would be easy to transcribe the Rise lyrics. Still, even a few lyrics can really help, so thank you for posting them!

Strange that he didn't go with something like gobbies gonna rise up to crush uplander or something similar. Just seems like -Ander/uplander is the easier rhyme than trying to force -ander/thunder.

Yeah, that's why I thought that the lyrics ended with "...rise above (or over) the Uplander!" But the message gets across, either way. It may actually work better with the rest of the lyrics, once we know what they are.

I've been straining my ears over Rise the last few days, and while I'm starting to hear a few lines a bit more clearly, it's still coming across as garbled in more than a few spots. I'll see about posting what I've got later tomorrow if I can come up with a few more coherent sections.

Perhaps 4.0 will feature Qiqirns summoning a primal and frenetically raving about clinkclink through hurried verses.

(Sophia's lyrics were most appreciated though, no way in hell I would've gotten "torn uniform," a shame about that CINTAMANI/CHAINS OF HARMONY being still unknown)
