This thread has convinced me, you absolutely do not need unique rewards for server firsts at all. Apparently even the mere existence of progression threads cause posters to get their panties in a twist and become vexed, an achievement or title is just overkill. I don't really understand how you can get irritated by others having fun through friendly competition, different strokes for different folks.

There is a difference between Player competition and achievements.
Progression team have their playground, with their threads and other stuff. They can do all the things they want as long as they don't smash it in the faces of people who have no interest in such a competition.

I mean, sure you did amazing stuff, clearing it faster than anyone with iL lower than what the average populace is capable of. But what's the point ? This is already an achievement, why do you so desperately need a title/minion/stuff for that ?

For what it's worth, the only ones who deserves anything are the world first. And guess what ? they got congratulations from Yoshida. I thinks that's a good enough reward. If you want it too, you gotta move and make much better than "server first"

I see nothing wrong in good players being rewarded.

Well i have even seen people bragging about having server's first Zantetsuken and stuff, can't blame them, they're in deperate need for any form of recognition and fame because they don't have either IRL.

As opposed to every underachieving baddy who can't do a fight to save his/her life who are accomplished CEOs and philanthropists in real life, obviously.

In Rift (maybe?) it would just have a server wide message saying "bla bla did thingy as world first!" or whatever. It used to do it for items though, which was weird, I was randomly doing some quest and picked up some loot and got a server first for getting some boots or something...

But any more than that I think is unnecessary.

I am sure SE don't want some new stories of players fainting (or worth) because of non-stop playing just for a stupid trophy
they will never do it and should NEVER do it

If you haven't noticed the people changing stances all the time to say "hey watch me I have XXX gerolt's weapon. Oh I even have high allagan look meeeeeeeeeeeh !!", or simplier just jumping all around to show every naab there how awesome they are, then you might be one of them.

It's easy to ignore what I said like just after that. Something like "World first already got their fame moment" and "server first is totally meaningless, only world first has any significance" ?
You are rewarded with iL115 weapons (currently). That should be enough. If you want more, get world first in 2.4 and be done with it
