funny workaround... either they fixed it and didn't tell anything or this is the only way for us to login atm
Solution:
1) Change your Datacenter to one of the japanes ones
2) Go back to the main screen and change it again to the one you are not playing on (EU or NA)
3) Go to the main screen again and change to the one you are playing on....
worked for me somehow... let's see what you guys can make with that
Edit: well... workaround seem not to be the solution :P my friend can also login without using it... maybe SE fixed it (i hope so...)
Edit2: After being online for about 5 min i got 90k again... dunno what i am paying for atm......

2002 again....so either way not fixed LOL
Yeah we are paying for EU servers located in... NA :/
EU servers should be located in EU datacenter. But well - yoshi don't care about EU![]()
"SE" dont care about EU thats why they delete german/french language in ffxi........
Well english is enough - it's universal and honestly using others should be forbidden on global chat.
But still - they should move EU servers to EU datacenter finally. Keeping it in NA is just stupid. I know that cash > all for company but well - keeping such quality will provide them loss of playerbase at some point.
If i remember right, there was a rumor about the EU servers being moved to EU... was quite happy to hear that when it came up but the dissapointment is now even bigger being reminded of that rumor and seeing, that still nothing has been done about that..... (yes i know they kinda fixed the latency but still the fix should be just a temp fix and moving the server to the country where the players are should be prior)
Accordingly to this german thread it seems to be an issue with a router from Tiscalinet located in france. Even with the servers located in the EU datacenter, it could have hit us as well. It's not SE or the local ISPs which can be blamed for that. It's "only" a network issue which they are not responsible for.
Thanks for the info! Tested it and can approve it... tryed to trace the EU servers and got timeouts at ae0.fra44.ip4.tinet.net [141.136.103.113]Accordingly to this german thread it seems to be an issue with a router from Tiscalinet located in france. Also tested it with the japanese ones and hopped directly to Tokyo after "leaving" EU :P
No problem and thanks for the verification.
I thought it would be nice to make clear that SE is not the problem here. A lot of people begin to flame in situations like this because it's the easiest way. But there are times where even big companies like SE can't do anything else as wait.![]()
