Error code 2002 and 90000

I swear its like the majority of players who complain here NEVER look at the notices that pop up RIGHT ON THE LAUNCHER...

Good thing this was a few weeks ago. With no fixes at all. I and others here are getting errors STILL, and the game is still laggy as hell. SE needs to learn to understand our concerns, and realize the errors of their own game and fix it. I would LOVE to see a Dev or a Moderator respond here. Oh wait, they don't care at all either. XD lol

You are not the only one, there have been 2002 and 90002 errors all day. My main character is on Diabolos and when I get to the loading screen after choosing the character I get a 90002 error and disconnected from the server. It has been like this for 6 hours now for me, others have been posting a few hours prior to me trying about receiving the same error. I am able to log on to alt characters, but for some reason only my main character receives this error.

Ive found a solution guys I think it may work for everyone. I had a friend do a test log in for me and he got in with my character..so id figured its some sort of IP related issue.
To fix this i went ahead and changed my IP or you can just try a /release /renew

You are my savior. I unplugged my router for a minute, plugged it back in and got a new IP. Boom. Back in action. Thanks.

It should be pointed out that certain activities can render an IP address "unusable" or "subject to DPI/throttling"

If you have one of those cable/dsl modems where the ISP is "sharing" your internet connection with a guest connection or something of that nature, turn that feature off or opt-out. Generally the 2002/90000 connections and similar "dropped connections" are a result of your upstream connection being tampered with, or something on your system (or someone elses system sharing it) is occupying all the upstream bandwidth (eg bittorrent.) FFXIV is super-sensitive to this (simply uploading a video to Youtube will kill my connection to FFXIV, because the web browser tries to push it at the maximum connection rate.)

Someone with Symmetric Fibre Optics (eg Verizon FiOS) shouldn't even be a capable of exhausting their upstream bandwidth. If you have Cable on the other hand, yes, it's absolutely possible that someone on your cable node is crushing the upstream bandwidth available.

Been getting 2002 errors non-stop for the past 2 days. I can't even log in at all. I'm on PC and Excalibur server

The entire month of March and late February I've been having major lag 2002 errors. And everything else. I had to resign from my static on T13 because I main tank. And its upsetting because I'm not losing internet it's just FFXIV... It was fine all through SCOB and early stages of FCOB. but I pay for the fastest internet at 105mps. Since I'm on ps4 my dowkad is like 35-40mps and upload 3.1. And always says excellent as far and connection. But no matter what once I start playing I get 90k or major lag up to 20 seconds or kicked entirely with 2002 error. I hope this gets fixed. I think it's mainly on consoles. I can't farm FCOB. Can commit to a static now either. It really stinks. Hope this get fixed. And I thought the maintenance would do it but it helped very little. Was able to Dona dungeom with no lag but once I started farming Turn 12 Lag. In phase 4. Reset everything and it continued. Eventually I have up and shut it off and played something else. This really needs to be addressed

been getting 90002 pc and ps4 in 5 minute sequences happened 10 last night and 9 before Hyperion server ps4 and pc and right after maintenance, please fix, connection is excellent as well so not my end
