This is wrong. So very wrong. The core rule is: Know what fight needs what. For example, the final boss of tam tara, it is better to caster limit on the third set of adds then it is to melee limit the boss. The purpose of learning is to well, learn. If you tell people to adhere to a bogus rule you made up, then you're hurting people rather then helping them.

Um no. the ONLY time you should ever use it sooner rather then later is if you're in a party you can trust. the Point of leaving it for later isn't to "look cool", its to save it just in case you actually have to use the healer limit. If you are playing with people you do not know, you should ALWAYS stay on the side of caution. It really pisses me off when i get stuck in low level dungeons with new players that do as you suggest and just limit asap, and then they all die because they haven't developed the skills to dodge or position properly.

A good example of saving the limit is the one above in tam tara. If there is a caster, save it for the third set of adds. It makes that fight go MUCH faster then using it against the boss(and no, you will NOT be ale to limit twice during that fight unless you're party is really bad and taking forever to finish it). in sastasha, again if your with a bunch of people you don't know, it's the best course of action to save the limit against the final boss because not everyone is intelligent enough to listen and interact with the bubbles to prevent adds. and if there are lots of adds, and caster limit can clear them, or a healer limit can save the party.

As i told the other guy, "The purpose of learning is to well, learn. If you tell people to adhere to a bogus rule you made up, then you're hurting people rather then helping them." in your case however, it is not a rule, it's a matter of not telling people to follow your personal beliefs. There are more, and much more valid reasons for saving the limit for later rather then just burning it asap. If you can actually trust your party not to screw things to hell, then sure, go ahead and burn it if you know for a fact there isn't a better reason to use it later.

And knowing when to limit isn't restricted to boss fights either. For example in Brayflox hard mode, even if you're not speed running it, you should avoid using limits against the first two bosses. why? one they die to fast to ever need to use it on them, and secondly, you can use the limit(caster of course. if no caster, then well ignore this) against large mob groups before the second boss, and the last 7-8 mobs before the final boss. Makes the run go faster, and besides, the only time you actually need a limit during a boss fight in Brayflox hard is against the big bomb(and to be fair you don't need it against that either).

So for the TC. Using the limit should be communicated between you and your team, that's the reason why it's a collective pool. Just talk and plan things out with your team. Sometimes you might just need a tank limit to save the day. You'll never know unless you guys communicate.
