Up 2 No Good <<U2NG>> Free Company Recruitment!

Hello all! You might remember me from several posts here, one of the many endgame dungeons, or who knows where. Our free company is looking to expand our ranks. To give you some background about us, we're a group of loud mouthed, good natured people. We come from different strides, different backgrounds, but we all are fairly skillful in this game, likeminded in focus, and drinkers. Mostly. Many of us have been playing MMOs for a long time, many of us are different small collectives of friends who have found likeminded folks and joined a larger community as a result. We are adults, we are gamers, and we are up 2 no good.

Why Join Up 2 No Good?
But Eirikr, with the advent of Duty Finder and roulettes including so many things, why choose a Free Company, and more importantly, why choose yours?

Thanks random voice in my head, lets talk!

    - Free companies are by the people and for the people. It allows you to find likeminded people and increase your enjoyment in the game by actually participating actively in group activites, conversations and making friends from who knows where!
    - Duty Finder matches you with randoms from different servers and makes it near impossible to form a connection with people because 9 times out of 10, they aren't going to be from your server.
    - Duty Finder matches you with randoms who could range in skill and playstyles that are both terrible and incouragable. Plus you run the risk of trolls, immaturity and general aggressiveness. Are you new to a dungeon? Good Luck running it with someone who has no patience and no filter, not even trying to help you.
    - Free Companies grant members bonuses which can be custom met to your needs by the officers!

    So Why U2NG?
Those are good reasons to join an FC, Eirikr, but again, why yours?

Don't interrupt me, I'm getting there.
    - We're play skills of all levels and we accept all levels: Most of us are very skilled at this game (yes I'm very modest), but more importantly we're all about learning and helping. We have helped a number of people on our server not even connected to our FC and we pride ourselves on creating a positive atmosphere whenever we can and wherever we go.
    - We have fun: We participate in most end-game content and have goals to clear all of it, but we don't run it like a second job. We take our time, enjoy the fights, swap roles, help learn from different perspectives, and sometimes break out into Manderville based dance parties in Hawker's alley. It happens. Deal with it.
    - We're mature-ish: The FC is comprised of people who are average age of late 20s. A lot of us have families, real lives, work, etc. We know what that means to people and time constraints and will never hold it over someone. That being said, we drink, we swear, we cut loose. Like I mentioned above, we like to have fun, and this game isn't a 2nd job. Be prepared for swearing if you join us and general jovialness.
    - We Use TeamSpeak: Teamspeak is a requirement for us to at least listen in on for dungeons, even if you don't talk. Hearing us is much quicker to react than typing. To many I think this a boon though because it means you also get to really talk to people. Tired of fate grinding for Atma? At least we can talk about our days and vent over TS. Wanna talk shop and strat? We can do that.
    - Always people on to help: I, and many in the FC, have participated in so many relic adventures, low level dungeons, high level dungeons, that I swear most of us could potentially do it blindfolded. That being said, we love doing it, especially for people who are new and don't know the areas or mechanics but want to learn.
    - We Have a House: Located in gorgeous Limsa Lominsa (The Mist), we do have a Medium Sized free company house that is getting all the most lavish treatment our members can provide.
    - You won't be just a number: Our FC currently numbers in the 20s, and on at any point we usually have around 10-15. We aren't looking to bolster our ranks to huge numbers, we want to make sure we're a close knit and good group of people which means everyone knows who everyone is. Many of us are actually clusters of IRL friends who joined together. Myself and 2 IRL friends joined up with another core group, and another small group joined us as well which ended up bolstering us to our current amount (with some random invites to stragglers who were interested). Joining us means you're not in a Zerg FC, there aren't another 80+ people and you wouldn't be able to tell X from Y.
    - We're rank 8! We are a max rank FC which means those bonuses I mentioned you can get from us? We have the selection available to us to do any.

    So why not U2NG?
Wow you guys sound awesome, but how do I know you guys are really right for me?

Only you can tell yourself that. We don't have any real rules but just guidelines of being helpful. Here's how you know you wouldn't be a good fit for the FC:
    - You're a loner mostly: Nothing wrong with being introverted, but we are a boisterous bunch. We're very open, very friendly, so if you like isolation more, or just prefer to do your own thing generally, you probably won't get a lot of out of us.
    - End Game Firsts: We're not doing this as a 2nd job. There are other FCs that run end-game content immediately and push for those server firsts. Great for them! We like a lot of those guys too (Onion is awesome!), but that's not us. If your first question is, whats your raid schedule like? How often do you clear Coil? etc., you're probably not going to love us. We try to arrange our schedules when we can and of course we have our times when we participate in raids, but its never first on the server, and it may not even be in the first month.
    - We Use TeamSpeak: Teamspeak is a requirement for us. I know I mentioned this as a positive but if you refuse to go on Teamspeak and at least listen to us when we do dungeons, we're going to have a bad time. Our FC chat is mostly dull because we have so many people on TS speaking to one another.
    - Offended easily: No one in this FC has a mean bone in their body (I think), but we do make jokes and sometimes with some of us, at each other's expenses. Its all in good fun but if you are someone who's offended easily, you may not appreciate it.

    What else?
    ...What else?

That's really it. We mostly play in the Eastern timezone but we do have a few Pacific and other atypical timezone players as they work night/swing shifts. We have plenty of 50's of varying gear levels running end-game content and have of course people who are still coming on the up and up. However, don't think that means you'll be on your own as we always prefer people to run dungeons with their FC mates rather than trying the duty finder. It won't be the first time we've done a level 20 dungeon in darklight/relics etc. and it certainly won't be the last.

If you're still with me here, then feel free to send me a tell in game, or to any U2NG member, and they will direct you to an officer like me, or our FC leader, Rizzarak Silverwing. You can find our FC homepage on the lodestone Here.

Best of luck in whatever you choose! Hope to hear from you!

    - Eirikr Juchardt

Joined these guys (U2NG) about a week ago. Really can't say enough good things about them. Super nice, super fun group of people. Helped me get my Relic weapon before I even officially joined. It's really rare to play with people who are great at the game, but don't act elitist.

And you'll really want to hang out on the Teamspeak channel. It's good times. Super important for communicating in a group. Joking around with people while grinding myth/soldiery/atmas is a nice bonus. Damn good group of people.

I'm digging the presentation and would like to join your band of merry men and merry women! I'm on CST,so what would be the best way to reach out to you guys and gals? Also, I play on PS3 so I don't have TeamSpeak or even know much about it.
