I'd be happier with more facial makeup options. I pretty much just use blusher on my lala, since none of the others give me that cute rosy-cheeked look. Since gloves are pretty much standard on all equipment sets, I wouldn't notice nail colour anyway. Besides which it's a tiny detail on a tiny character in my case, so I don't really have much desire for it.
You don't, but I do.
There are plenty of hand slots that show my character's nails
Why are people so against this request damn this community is weird
Because every little things like this that barely affects anyone and anything takes developer time and in the end, it adds up. Time is money therefore their time is better spent on things that might get them more money. Things like this are relevant to an extremely little part of the player base and are barely noticeable unless you come to a complete stop to stare at your hands for a few seconds.
You know what enhances this game for myself and multiple people ? Actual content.
For about a week after the patch hits, then you'll get bored of it again. I doubt adding one or two dyeable glove items to the game will make any difference on how much content they'll manage to churn out, anyway.
And then a little other things her and another little things here. They're already running on a tight schedule. Vanity things like this can wait until the more important stuff is out.
What's "more important" to you may not be "more important" to others. Plenty of people haven't stepped into coil 2 yet for example, so they couldn't care less when coil 3 comes out. And all those "little things" are what keeps plenty of people actually caring about their characters and the game as a whole.

I don't think the TC feels like it's something every department in the development team needs to halt for and work on. People make suggestions and such to have the idea out there. Some things become more popular and maybe get acknowledged (or even if they do stay obscure), and others just fade away. Regardless, it's there.
For something like this, it's not one which would impede content on raids or other end game things. There are so many people working behind the scenes -- keep in mind that they have been working on all the content in past patches as well as the expansion; this includes glamours, hairstyles, dungeons, raids, quest lines, together in the same patches. A team which works on dungeon assets isn't going to be assigned nail graphics instead. I also think the development team is smart enough that this wouldn't be given huge resources. So when people make suggestions like these, it's silly to go at them with reasons like "it's not important." There are plenty of people working on a Square Enix game. We have seen in the past that we get all sorts of content. We have also known that they are working on much more than we see. Have a little faith in them despite some seemingly silly choices they make! That goes for most development teams in general.

As for the idea itself, I never really notice too much detail like that in particular! But if there's something there, it will show. Like when people use makeup. Could actually be pretty niceAnd the new Ixal gloves.. dem claws!
