Healing during Odin

Since I upgraded to PS4 I thought I could finally participate and get something higher than silver. But I was still unable to target party members. I saw Odin fine but after tapping him once my concern is keeping people shielded/up are there any ways to improve this?

My bf says to turn off all effects of other players to see if that helps, I haven't ha the chance to test, but I'm sure some of you have. Thanks!

Don't feel too bad about it. I had the same problem on PC. Occasionally during the fight I couldn't target my party members unless I was really close to them. Seems like it gets overwhelmed with the maximum character display limit along with a million things happening at once.

You'll just have to run around like a maniac trying to "find" them and get close enough to target them. Sometimes you have to be literally on top of them.

Happens on PC too.

I just spam AoE heals (Medica/Medica II/Succor) and hope it hits them.

open your map, locate your party, stay close to them, also change your hard drive to a ssd, helps a lot, but im on ps4 and only took like 5-10 secs to load all players when i did odin

Thanks for the tips everyone, I didn't know PC players also had trouble seeing. To the above poster or anyone with one. Does SSD help with this in your PC/ps4? If it's not that significant I'll just do whats suggested with being close/AOE.

There is a defined character limit regardless of what hard drive you use. That is, your client will only render a certain # of players. Most of the time you won't notice it, but when half the active playerbase on your server is trying to flood Odin you WILL achieve this cap. Unfortunately, there is nothing you or I can do to prevent it, as it's hard coded in to help reduce stress. Players closest to you do get priority in rendering order, so yes, staying close to them at all times is about the only thing you can do to be able to target them. Of course, as a healer, this also means getting into the danger zone with the tanks (which is never a good thing).

Getting in close is scary :P thanks everyone. Hope this helps someone else this was insightful.

I found you can also get credit from raising people too. Not that it's preferred over healing your PT but yeah.

My Friend has gotten gold twice on ODIN his response as heals was to go in a grp with full rng they are most likely not gonjna die and you can attack /raise on the side.
