They only thing that sucks about PS4 is it isn't backwards compatible with PS3 games. My PS3 took a crap last week, And there are still lots of games for PS3 I want to play this year (Tales of Xilla 2) I was going to pick up Drakengard 3 this month too. As for PS4 there isn't very much out atm, But in the coming months there is a lot and I'm glad I have GameFly.

I did hear that Sony is suppose to add some type of "Subscription" based thing to rent PS3 games of PS4.

The difference is night and day. I got the PS4 about 3 months ago and played the February beta for FFXIV. I didn't play on PS3 again for a full week, because it was hard to bring myself back to such a downgrade. Now, all these people that say "GAME IS UNPLAYABLE ON PS3 BLAH BLAH", are definitely over-exaggerating. Buuuuuuut, I certainly wouldn't ever play on PS3 again Glad you are enjoying it!

I do disagree with this, however. The PS4 would have most likely been about $200 dollars more if they included the laser needed to read PS3 games into the PS4. Plus, I'm not a big fan of backwards compatibility anyway. I keep my old consoles incase I ever want to play a classic. It sucks in your case (with your PS3 crapping out and all), but I'm very happy with the PS4 just being a PS4. I would wager that if you have the type of job that allows you to just up and buy a new system when the old one craps out, then it shouldn't be too hard for you to save up $79-$119 bucks for a refurbished PS3 at game stop. I would also bet that those prices will be true for new versions of the systems in a short amount of time as well.

You do know that the PS4 can detect if Call of Duty Ghost or Battlefield 4 are in the system when you did the 10 dollar upgrade. They are required to be in the system for the digital copy downloaded that way to work. Its called Sony put restricting coding to prevent PS3 games from working properly so they can sell you the subscription service to rent old games through their cloud thing. I am sticking with the theory in a few years the magically found a way to code the PS4 to play PS3 games because Playstation Now needs to be boycotted successfully.

Square is doing it right, we need more companies that produce multi console games to use servers like Square-Enix has for FF14. Their servers are the type of servers true gamers want so we can stay with our preferred system of choice and enjoy the same game as other people being completely on a different console.
