Sure, Magitek armor is cool, but does it belong in this game? I just can't see it...

Raptors! They're pretty much featherless chocobos! XD I would love to mount a raptor and ride around coerthas on that little speed demon. If you demount in this game, it would be cool if the mount did not disappear but instead followed you around, like a creature, wyvern, puppet, or summon would to its master in FF XI.
Chocobos are my fav, and I would love to see a variety of them in different sizes, color, armor and armor color/designs. I would also like to see new creatures created and brought into the world of Eorzea to fight and mount. But raptors would be my second fav!
On second thought, I think raptors and most all other creatures out there in the wild would be much more fun to charm and have fight along side you as a "pet", more so than a mount, but I will certainly 100% take both if possible! =P
can we get some shoopuff in this game? Chocobo are all well and good but most forget the majestic and proud shoopuff
Stay a while, and listen.
Flying mount will be a problem with current map, we have too much invisible wall.
you can all have a dragon... i'll take the behemoth
i want to stick to FF Lore... PERIOD... stop trying to warcraft my final fantasy.
Warcraft didn't invent mounts (or much of anything for that matter). There's no lore in any Final Fantasy that states I can't throw a saddle on any random creature that's large enough and use it as a mount.
If we stuck to strictly FF "tradition" from the beginning of the series, we wouldn't have chocobos (or most of the jobs/classes either). We'd be playing a single-player, turn-based menu RPG. FF is a constantly changing and evolving series, usually for the better.
It's not like it's Chocobos or anything else. It's Chocobos AND anything else. Why does what other people ride bother you so much?
I think that SE should feel free to bring in new mounts but only if they are going to add a substantial amount of lore around how, why and where they are used as mounts. If you look at the Grand companies page and try to imagine it with soldiers mounted on a diverse number of different mounts the army would start to look more like a disorganised mob rather than a well organised militia. So i hope if they add more mounts that they do it slowly and try to be sure that they wont look too out of place together.
I want to ride a tonberry!!
I want to ride a marmot!!!!
