[dev 1083?] Mounts

It'd be cool to be able to earn gear/upgrades for your mount. It would be a time sink and enable players to stand out.
And how about some kind of mount that could transport an entire party? An airship?!

I believe Chocobo Carriages were supposed to be accessable to players for use as well.

What if it was a Carriage pulled by a fleet of Mandragoras?

The Mounts I can think is Chocobo, Magitek, Dragons[FF4HeroesofLight], Whale[FF4HeroesofLight], Airship, Ferry, and Machine transports. but I'll accept anything out of that, as long as it is fun and appropriate

IF Dragoon were to get a dragon pet. I would like to see the pet grow with you and eventually become mountable.

EDIT:

IF we could get growning dragons allow us to control their elemental growth, or give us equipment that imbues elemental property.

Did you know, I prefer just a Chocobo/dragon system. Too many mounts and it just becomes cheesey.

Too much variety and it impinges on the artistic style of the universe.

Have you ever seen one of those Predator Vs. Alien movies? Or a Ninja Vs. Alien movie? That is what happens when you throw everything but the kitchen sink at the audience. It's just not pretty.

Well magitek (or something like it) would not be out of the question. My main concern would be if the ideas presented in the OP like hogs and dodos or what-have-you, I don't think that would fit. Like I just don't think it would fit is all I'm trying to say.

Agreed, Dodos and Hogs sound WoWish to me. All those miscellaneous animals are irrelevant
