I support mounts aside from chocobos but I'm fine with whatever the dev team does (which happens to be pointing towards mounts aside from chocobos in addition to chocobos).

i cant believe how many people want to ride everything that exists just because they could. and jumping too for that matter. just go play world of warcraft for that. i personally hate these 2 additions they announced for the game

You guys can preach tradition or whatever, but FF & SE have lost their way post 2000 and hasn't really been the same since. We should be able to tame, ride, raise & level up various fauna that we and our friends can ride.

Maybe some people want to ride a shoopuff or a motorcycle?

I'm personally for things that can logically be ridden. Flying mounts pose various gameplay problems so that's probably out. Ridiculous things like cactuar are obviously out too. If it's just chocobos I'm fine with that but since they've said they're looking at other things to, I'm just trying to be positive and embrace their decision. It's not the end of the world.

Anyone shouting for tradition clearly doesn't realize that Final Fantasy is constantly changing from game to game as well. Tradition had to have been change at one point. New classes, new mechanics, new vehicles/mounts from other FFs, a lot has been added since the first FF.

Moogles
Cid
Biggs/Wedge

Point being is that there has never been a mount outside of Chocobos that is rideable in the Final Fantasy series to this point. It was pretty much the mainstay rideable animal for the entire Final Fantasy mythos.

But now people are just begging "Litteraly" for SE to open a cash shop for mounts much like WoW. Want to ride a Black doomsday dragon of doom? Give me 10 bucks.

Hiryuu says differently. While chocobo is a mainstay, atleast 3 dragons have been used to fly that I can think of. 2 Hiryuu/Wind Drakes in Final Fantasy V and Kuja's silver dragon in Final Fantasy IX.
