The offense was so glaring I could not see anything else, hence regrettable.
However, reading another poster, it would appear you may have just found multi-boxers, people who pay and play more than one account simultaneously, usually using some kind of third party software to link the controls to all running clients.
Multiboxers can be RMTs as well, but you can't assume because they multibox, they are.

Most people really dislike the term "toon", if used for a Character. To give you an example:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=toon
For some its actually that a "toon" refers to a Character like from WoW or Wildstar Onliine, which does actually look more "cartoon'ish".
FF players have this idea that their characters are far better than mere "toons", and typically shun/mock/disregard anyone who uses it. The hate for the word was even stronger in XI. Always made me laugh. They blame the word on the WoW crowd, whom they also despise, but the word was used well before that.
OOOH. I've seen other people, in other games, use it but not one person has got bent out of shape about it.FF players have this idea that their characters are far better than mere "toons", and typically shun/mock/disregard anyone who uses it. The hate for the word was even stronger in XI. Always made me laugh. They blame the word on the WoW crowd, whom they also despise, but the word was used well before that.
So it's another WoW vs. any other game thing. Would be understandable if these people were still young but they are mostly adults now...
There is a portion of the MMO community that feel "Toon" is a derogatory term. As for myself, I refer to call my Dolf as Stormegeddon Dark Lord of All....but...too each his own I suppose.
