how hard is it to do the simple things?

I keep getting put into grps where half the grp does not understand the simple fact of "stop casting and move out of aoe's", or for living healer to sc res dead healer instead of trying to single heal (using the excuse, he'll die as soon as i res him). There's a lot of other simple things I keep seeing people do over and over again, but not going to list them all here.

So if you notice some, please list them here.

Oh I also was in a low lvl grp (24-27) with a low lvl mage and all he did was spam sleep.

Following order marks, because targeting that giant 1 on top of a mob apparently requires too much effort.

Does it matter? This is a serious question, what does it solve exactly by listing complaints of people making moronic mistakes or decisions?

    I cannot find anything relevant.

For low level content I can at least understand people not moving out of AoEs. Barring bombs, basically everything up to Titan (Normal) isn't actually that dangerous. I've tutored many new players in my FC through content, and so many of them have problems with Titan, half of which come from the fact they haven't developped actual dodging reflexes yet and it's the first time the game seriously punishes not having them. Even for Ifrit's eruptions it's like 70% of your HP at max and unless your healer is asleep at the wheel you'll be healed right back up by the next one. Hell, I don't even think many low level players even realise how much damage they're taking because it can be healed off so easily.

By the high level content, if there's not an effort being made though, that's just unfortunate. Tried and failed is fine; human error is inevitable even in the best. Didn't even try = ????

Also, re healers: Don't assume everyone has swiftcast (or that it's off cooldown). And in a fight like Titan HM, sometimes it is better for the healer to just give up on healing an ally who keeps eating AoEs and instead focus on people that demonstrate the skill to actually stay on their feet; cruel as it sounds.

All that said, I suspect this is just a venting thread.

for dodging, I have explained it more then not, especially for Titan, it isnt that people cant dodge, it is that people when they see the actual action is already too late, is called server lag, for the player everything si smooth but that half a second or even second is enough to kill you, most say .:*he cant dodge*..it would be best to say...he didnt see it on time...people assume too much in this game..wayy too much and judge other's people abilities based on THEIR own criterias and situation....maybe just accepting that when you enter in a group not everybody knows, can or will do as you expect want or demand...if you cant accept that you shoudlnt enter a group with unknowns or any groups for that matter.

For healers, is true, as a scholar, I find it easier to manage mana...but as a whm, if i see the guy is not able to stand on his feet, I wont cast rez again, too much mana, mana that I need to heal those that actually can do something. Players that DEMAND to be rezed are just selfish and really dont take into account what is happening around them more then not, I, healer, need also to take into account that I may be in a situation where I may need to heal 8 people on my own e.g. Titan HM fall over the platform...so you telling me I should rez you use 3/4 (so to speak) of my mana, incidentally I have no Bards to give it back to me, just because you dont want to lay dead there and so risk a wipe (at that point isnt certain it will be a wipe) just for your little selfish comfort? hell no way....

    What's the point...?

And you were in a low level dungeon and you expect them to get it right away? I can't even begin to understand what you were saying about the healer...

lag/dodging is one thing that you just have to live with IMO. Some people use it as code speak for I suck at the game, but otherwise it can be a legit reason. Its no big deal.

Other things, however, can be a really huge PITA. Like explaining to people that have "cleared" T4 that you shouldn't stand in front of the Dreadnought. People who have "cleared" Titan X that provoke him while they and the entire raid are behind him >.> . Tanks that know how to "Speed Run" that flash once. This are all things that if they happen once, hey its no big deal. If you explain it a few times and they blatantly are not listening or use don't understand what is happening, then that is a huge annoyance.

if you are a healer an you cant take the time to go lv thm a lil bit for swiftcast, you are gimping yourself and your pt lol Full cast time for raise in mid battle is rediculous an damn near useless. By the time u finish casting it someone else will be dead or almost dead.

On topic, the biggest thing that frustrates me, is when your trying to help a new person in a dungeon, an they dont talk. You explain stuff to them, they just stand there, an then when its time to fight they run in an dont do anything that was discussed cuz they didnt even read the chatlog lol

When I started playing, I had no idea about swiftcast until I was cursed out. How was I suppose to know? Simply explaining about swiftcast would have worked instead of being rude.
So Garlyle is right. Don't assume. Try to explain while being calm. If they don't want to hear you out, let them continue to be fail. Maybe they will learn.
