Yes, you have to level sync. if you don't level sync, you can't hit the FATE mob and therefore wouldn't get credit for doing the FATE.

I haven't bothered with this thread in a while now. People are going to complain about it anyway. Tired of seeing the complaints. Working on several novus preparations now.

Took me just over 4 weeks to get the full set for my Artemis Bow. Started casually and managed to get 4, then slowed down and grinded maybe a hour a night for a week. Then went back to it, bringing out my Chocobo, and managed to get a few more. Then hit a brick wall where I got nothing for over 25 hours. That was disheartening, but I was determined to finish. Left it for a day to have a little break, came back and got 3 in 5 FATEs. Thought I'd finished but I got my places mixed up and ended up with 2 of the same >.< Grinded for another hour and finally managed to get the full set! Was glad it was finally over, but I still intend to get a second set for my Stardust Rod soon.

It's annoying, boring and tiresome but you have to stick at it and hope for the best. Use your Chocobo, use PF to grind in groups, grind different places... If you're getting burnt out, take a break to relax.

Good luck to everyone still grinding, hope you get yours soon too.

It's definitely a grind. I've been pretty damn lucky though. Someone tried to argue with me that the "drop rate" had nothing to do with luck. See: @LOL

Just doing roulettes for myth to start working toward Holy Shield Animus, FATEing on the side to finish out a full fourth set of atmas. Holding onto the full third in speculation for either Ninja or news on the next tank (please let it be DRK or BLU ;~; ).

I used to be a naysayer of the atma-collecting portion of the grind, but honestly it's not that bad... it's entirely luck-based so that's unfortunate, but at the same time also a benefit. There were times when I would get an atma within 25 minutes of starting in an area, and that happened at least two times out of the twelve that I needed to collect. The hardest thing to grasp after collecting all of them is that there are no upgrades to the stats... lol. That comes in the even longer quest after, bit by bit... Disappointing to say the least...

There's a thread for that. SRing isn't too hard, provided you have a good healer. BLM is always handy to have for it, but not necessary. I've done sub 7-minute runs without a BLM, though the DPS was considerably geared. Still, at least you're adding in roulettes to garner myths. I know several people who are burnt out from Bray farming.

Too bad we're not in the same server, I'd definitely be up for grouping/running.

My Fc mate Healer is burned out cause of it, he's at novus quest now.

And today, I realized I need a break from the game, when I saw that I need 3 stupid oil that cost 500 myth each = another damn book price.

So for now 15000 myth.

Doing fates is a piece of cake; you put your mind into SE mode, and you do it.

Will soon see the Alexandrite part of it, need 500 more myth.

- Kudos on amassing all of it more than once; I plan to do the same, only for Ninja.

Lucky the new patch 2.3 is coming, cause beyond getting the Ex done, and Coil turns..

The chocobo raising makes me stick so far, trying to hang into the next job(s) incoming..

I don't know, I had high hopes of it being different, but it's still just an MMO, and I can foresee saving 400 bucks per year.. (Me and my GF)
