That why i enjoy FFXIV not only did FFXI had all the issue you said. But the fact that there was rules set by the players. Point system and even bidding where you waste said point to win a item then hope it drop from a mob that week. If it did not you would do it again next time. I just could not stand the low 1-30% drop system for most item in ffxi i enjoy the hell out of it and i would still say COP was the best storyline enjoy the endgame. But once you play FFXIV and all you do is memorize and dps check it's pretty simple.

So ya i take memorize mobs move which only happen every % of HP 80,50,30 or w/e they set it too with a guarantee 2 random item with a simple set rule by the party of main/sub. So even if there someone else with the same job in your party you can gear up 2 jobs within a few months. That what i did for 1-5 coil and that what i going to do again for 6-9 and most coil gear is not the best so i get a 100% guarantee i getting gear by buying it with tomes.
