    played 2.0. dw was a toughy, but hes a damn joke now. they make these cool old time bosses from previous games and dw dies before he does his final phases like he is nothing. that sad coz demon wall is a pretty cool guy in other FF's nw look @ him here in FFXIV getting wrecked hard up his ass lol.

    also ilvl things are killing it a bit, i agree. i even dummy down my gear to the ilvl i could be in brayflox for example...just to struggle a bit.
    coz breezing thru most of these fights before they get to the final phases are sad.

    Square has said that older content will slowly be made easier, one way or another, in order to assist newer players in 'catching up' to what's currently intended to be the endgame. Given that Amdapor and Wanderer's Keep are nowhere near as 'central' to progression as they were when first introduced, and their rewards comparatively weaker now, it makes sense.

    I totally agree with you on personally reducing iLvl; I've done it a few times myself.

    Either way, if the current set of content is feeling 'easy', it means it's time to move onto harder stuff, because you're probably ready for it.

    HM dungeons is not really even endgame lol, i do believe the hardcores would count those as casual content that everyone can do. Ya new dungeons are challenging the first day they come out in patches, but they are quickly turned into speedruns by the end of the week. The only really tough "endgame" content in the game really is Coil & X-primals.

    Because the game has alot of assholes and pricks that have zero tolerance for anything that does not revolve around them getting the win because you know enmity makes everyone brave when sitting behind a monitor or tv screen. As long as you have a FC or linkshell to play with its not hard because your learning in a pressure free environment.

    This game would be easy if all you ever had to do was rely on your own skill but sadly it doesn't work that way and that's what makes the game hard especially if you like to solo a lot, after all you're basically introduced as an adventurer where the world is your oyster but you quickly get disillusioned when content starts getting too hard to do for others at your stage of the game.

    So many people say "it's not hard it's the other players that hold me back" it makes me wonder where all these other bad players are hiding. You'd think one of them would of posted already to accept blame.

    Bah, they are hiding in shame. But seriously, this game is the first one where you actually go in to fights with the mentality, "I hope we win this time" and not "I wonder if I get some new gear".

    He.. i was with one of those "epic good players", who constantly is posting on this forum how easy the game is, in DF the other day and well... he was not that great actually. Constantly blaming the other 7 people for his own mistakes, yelling and swearing and then left because apparently everyone but him sucked. I think some people need a reality-check lol.

    One of the things that surprises me from the many wipes I've experienced in Garuda EX, Titan EX, Leviathan EX, Thornmarch Ex, Turn 1, and some couple of dungeons is how uncreative some dps/healers/tanks can be.

    I've seen so many 2% wipes that could have been avoided if the healer had popped their level 3 limit break. The excuse always ends up being, "I don't have it on my bar" or "It's pointless because we needed the level 3 damage LB". It's times like these I wish the LB was individual or shared between "roles". Bards being the biggest offenders since they keep on dpsing and never bothering after a whole minute or two.

    Just as many wipes could have been prevented if the tank could have "kited" the moment he realized the healers where dead and allowed for enough time for the DPS to drop the bosses remaining 2% HP.

    As for DPS, some BLM don't off heal, buff (E4E), and debuff if needed, some SMN can't bother themselves to swiftcast rez/heal/buff/cc, drg/mnk can't bother themselves to hit sprint and kite, most bards don't bother kiting they just give up.

    The biggest offender in this situation, parsers. People care so much about their DPS that they forget that there's more that the game has to offer in terms of survivability. Which is why I love turn 6. Yet the difficulty spike will always revolve around some players selfishness.
