Great day today! 10 wins out of 14.
did they change anything about the matchmaking btw? I had a rank 35-40 bard in my team and I also had someone who had never played pvp before

the matchmaking is pretty nonsensical. But from what I've seen it *tries* to average out the ranks, so it's not uncommon to see a team of i70 pvp gear vs some rank 30+ and a newbie.

Of course I've seen matches with all 34 vs one 30+ and a bunch of fresh 50s or first timers that ended in under 15 seconds. Going in with a group tends to screw the matchmaking up and put you up against much higher ranks.

The baffling thing is why they even bother keeping it in, since it doesn't work half the time and all it does is ruin queues (which in turn lowers interest in pvp).

Just a speculation but I think the winrate is also being considered. Every Tuesday, most of the time, I'm being teamed up with a decent team. But when weekend comes, when I had gathered enough wins, they start sending me to newbies, while I'm up against high rank players. I know I'm up against high rank players when they start using a lot of abilities on me.
