Really basic housing questions

Are there any restrictions as far as some of the specialty items recently added? Like the crafting tables and stuff like that? In other words can you add everything to a small house that you could to a large, just less of it?

1. How many items can be placed
2. Square Footage/Floor Count
3. Types of Roofs, Exterior Walls, etc that can be used (Mansion for large, etc)

This really is all. No special item restrictions. Just space, item count, and exterior fittings type.
